wicked mike small Our ServicesI was nicknamed “Wicked Mike” for honest, direct talking but that is ironic considering my passion for wordplay. I’ve had a love affair with writing since the age of 11 when I imagined becoming a novelist who would change the world for the better. When I won the English and History Prizes in Matric (Class of ’89) and was accepted to Rhodes University, it seemed assured.

But my parents couldn’t afford the fees so I, instead, embraced Life, experiencing and learning as much as I could. Writing never became my profession but throughout my exploits it remained a constant companion and capable tool.

I am an avid, diverse blogger. “Diverse” is no exaggeration as I applaud my beautiful town at www.LoveKnysna.com, promote activism at www.KnysnaKeep.org and www.KnysnaCrimeWatch.co.za, and maintain a diary, likely to scare the regular soul, at www.WickedMike.com. Additionally, i’ve made made hundreds of postings at www.WickedRock.net and others, both mine but not as high on my agenda as the aforementioned.

I have interviewed bands and local personalities, composed poetry, reviewed performances, food and many CDs. As a promoter and marketer, I’ve composed press releases. From fantasy to facts, politics to tourism, I possess passion. Please view samples of my writing here.
